Lifetime Subscription Rate Rewards Most Loyal Readers
By Sean Ireland

The concept is simple. Subscribers who sign up for a newspaper subscription using EZ Pay or who agree to automatic credit card payments or bank drafts can lock in their subscription rate for as long as they maintain the subscription. It’s an initiative that rewards a newspaper’s most loyal customers, and it costs the paper very little. (SNPA eBulletin 6-25-09 - download)

Roman Record Offers Weekly Snapshot of Government
By Sean Ireland

The Roman Record, delivered in every Monday's edition of the Rome (Ga.) News-Tribune, is a compilation of every public record created and kept at the offices of local government. “The thing that drives single copy sales is that we put all the arrest reports from Floyd County and Rome police in it, including the time of the arrest, the day and what the charges are,” said Publisher Otis Raybon. Looking Ahead to Sunny Skies
By Scott McIntosh (Kuna Melba News)
In an effort to help our local businesses get their message out to local residents, we mailed free copies of the Kuna Melba News to every household in the Kuna school district – 8,500 households – during the month of February. And not only are we not raising our advertising rates, we actually dramatically reduced them during February. In addition, the Kuna Melba News is making its own extra push to earn new subscribers. We are now offering a 100 percent guarantee that once a new subscriber starts getting the Kuna Melba News, we will refund their money completely if they don’t love getting the Kuna Melba News. We’re that confident in the quality of the newspaper. (SNPA eBulletin 3-5-09 - download)
